Mortgage Rates: Then and Now

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the rising mortgage rates, which are currently nearing 7 percent, saying they shouldn’t be a deterrent for anyone looking to buy, as rates may continue to climb. Yes, rates averaged around 3 percent earlier this year, but I thought I’d share this article that cited mortgage rates were as high as 19% in the early 80s. It’s worth a read and if anything, it puts things into perspective.
